Title

Comprehensive evaluation of lipopolysaccharide-induced changes in rats based on metabolomics

Overall design

In this study, a comprehensive metabolomics-based analysis of the serum, liver, kidney, hippocampus, and heart following exposure to lipopolysaccharide (LPS) was performed. Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into the following 2 groups (n = 8 in each group): (1) control group, and (2) LPS group (500 ug/kg of LPS injection every other day for 14 days). Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) was used for metabolite determination.
