Title | Metabonomic evaluation of chronic unpredictable mild stress-induced changes in rats by intervention of fluoxetine by HILIC-UHPLC/MS |
Overall design | By optimization of the preparation and analytical conditions in HILIC mode, HILIC-UHPLC/MS was applied for the global metabolic profiling of rat plasma samples generated in an experimental model of chronic unpredictable mild stress (CUMS), and the concomitant investigation of the protective effect of fluoxetine was also evaluated. Rats were randomly divided into 3 groups (n = 8 in each group): (1) control group, (2) CUMS group, (3) CUMS + fluoxetine group (stress plus fluoxetine treatment at the dose of 10 mg/kg). The CUMS stress procedure lasted for 11 weeks, and fluoxetine was administered during the last 2 weeks of the model building period. |
