Title | UPLC-MS/MS-based profiling of 31 neurochemicals in the mouse brain after treatment with the antidepressant nefazodone |
Overall design | In this study, the authors developed a method for simultaneous analysis of 31 neurochemicals in mouse whole brain tissue using liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS). ICR mice were divided into the following 4 groups: (1) single-dose control group (single-dose vehicle treatment), (2) single-dose nefazodone group (single-dose of nefazodone), (3) multiple-dose control group (vehicle treatment for three doses), and (4) multiple-dose nefazodone group (nefazodone treatment for three doses, every 2 h one dose). Nefazodone was administered intraperitoneally injected into mouse at a dose of 100 mg/kg. Brain tissues were collected 1 hour after injection. Five samples per group were used for targeted metabonomic analysis. |
