Title | Determination of inflammation-related lipids in depressive rats by on-line supercritical fluid extraction-supercritical fluid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry |
Overall design | In this study, the authors presented an on-line supercritical fluid extraction (SFE)-supercritical fluid chromatography (SFC)- mass spectrometry (MS)/MS method to determine the lipids related to inflammation in the brain tissues of chronic unpredictable mild stress (CUMS) rat model of depression with the treatment of liquiritin. Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into the following 4 groups (n = 8 in each group): (1) control group, (2) CUMS group, (3) CUMS + liquiritin group (stressor plus liquiritin suspension treatment at the dose of 20 mg/kg), and (4) CUMS + fluoxetine group (stressor plus fluoxetine treatment at the dose of 10 mg/kg). The CUMS stress procedure lasted for 4 weeks, and drugs were administered via intragastric once per day during the model building period. |
