Title

Multi-omics analysis of the amygdala in a rat chronic unpredictable mild stress model of depression

Overall design

The aim of this study was to explore changes in the amygdala in a chronic unpredictable mild stress (CUMS) rat model of depression by a combination of liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS)-based metabolomic and isobaric tags for relative and absolute quantitation (iTRAQ) proteomic analyses. Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into the following 2 groups: (1) control group, and (2) CUMS group. The CUMS stress procedure lasted for 3 weeks. For metabolomic analysis, 11 rat samples in the CUMS group and 8 rat samples in the control group were used.
