Title

Metabonomics study of urine and plasma in depression and excess fatigue rats by ultra fast liquid chromatography coupled with ion trap-time of flight mass spectrometry

Overall design

In this study, a novel metabonomic method based on fast liquid chromatography coupled with ion trap-time of flight mass spectrometry (UFLC/MS-IT-TOF) was applied to study the metabolic changes of plasma and urine in depression rats. Rats were randomly separated into the following 2 groups (n = 11 in each group): (1) control group, (2) CRS group (chronic restraint stress). In brief, the rats in the CRS group were kept in a restraint box for 6 h every day (from 9:00 am to 15:00 pm) lasted 6 weeks.
