Title | Simultaneous analysis of the metabolome and lipidome using polarity partition two-dimensional liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry |
Overall design | In this study, a heart-cutting two-dimensional liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (2D-LC-MS) method-based polarity partition was established to analyze both the metabolome and lipidome in a single run. The feasibility of the 2D-LC-MS system was demonstrated by simultaneous analysis of the metabolome and lipidome in plasma samples of chronic unpredictable mild stress (CUMS) rat model of depression. Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into the following 2 groups (n = 12 in each group): (1) control group, and (2) CUMS group. The CUMS stress procedure lasted for 4 weeks. |
