Title | Multi-omics data reveals the disturbance of glycerophospholipid metabolism caused by disordered gut microbiota in depressed mice |
Overall design | The aim of this study was to find out how the gut microbiota was involved in the onset of depression, and to identify the potential ways to link the gut and brain in mice with depressive-like behaviors. The chronic restraint stress (CRS) model of depression was used in this study. C57BL/6 mice were divided into the following 2 groups (n = 10 per group): (1) control group, and (2) CRS group. The CRS stress procedure lasted for 4 weeks. The lipid metabolites in three kinds of biological samples (fecal, serum and hippocampus) and 15 neurotransmitters in hippocampus samples are detected by LC-MS. |
