Overall design | The aim of this study was to investigate the direct links between the gut microbiome and metabolome and their impact on anxiety, behavior in chronic unpredictable stress (CUS) rats using the combination of microbiome and metabolome analyses. Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into the following 2 groups: (1) control group, and (2) CUS group. The CUS stress procedure lasted for 30 days. Plasma metabolome profile was compared using LC-MS (n = 6 per group). |
