Title

Artificial intelligence based discovery of the association between depression and chronic fatigue syndrome

Overall design

The aim of this study was to identify candidate biomarkers of depression and chronic fatigue syndrome. A total of 295 general participants were recruited to complete Zung Self-Rating Depression Scales and Chalder Fatigue Scales. Forty-one male depression patients (male depression group), 120 male non-depression participants (male control group), 56 female depression patients (female depression group), and 78 female non-depression participants (female control group) were recruited. Plasma and urine samples were used for H NMR-metabolic profiling.
