Title | [1H-NMR metabolomics analysis of changes of serum metabolites in rats with depression induced by Compound Chaigui Prescription] |
Overall design | The aim of this study was to analyze the effect of Compound Chaigui Prescription on the changes of serum metabolites in rats with depression by 1H-NMR metabolomics. Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into the following 7 groups (n = 8 in each group): (1) control group, (2) CUMS group, (3) CUMS + venlafaxine group (stressor plus venlafaxine treatment at the dose of 35 mg/kg), (4) CUMS + low dose of Chaigui group (stressor plus Chaigui treatment at the dose of 4.8 g/kg), (5) CUMS + median dose of Chaigui group (stressor plus Chaigui treatment at the dose of 9.7 g/kg), (6) CUMS + high dose of Chaigui group (stressor plus Chaigui treatment at the dose of 19.4 g/kg), and (7) CUMS + augmentation treatment group (stressor plus venlafaxine and Chaigui treatment). The CUMS stress procedure lasted for 4 weeks, and drugs were administered via intragastric during the model building period. |
