Title

Antidepressant-like activity and modulation of brain monoaminergic transmission by blockade of anandamide hydrolysis

Overall design

The aim of this study was to examine the impact of URB597 on emotional and hedonic behavior. Rats received single (0.1 mg/kg, i.p.) or repeated injections (0.1 mg/kg, i.p., once daily for 4 days) of URB597. Forced swim test (FST) was conducted to test the antidepressant-like activity of URB597. Brain regions of Wistar rats were dissected, and endocannabinoids were quantified by HPLC-mass spectrometry.
