Overall design | The aim of this study was to investigate effects of psychological stress on the gut microbiome and fecal metabolites. C57BL/6 J mice were divided into the following 2 groups: (1) control group, and (2) psychological stress group. Psychologically stressed mice received visual, auditory, and olfactory emotional stimuli from mice receiving electric foot shock for 14 days. Fecal metabolomics analysis was used to reveal metabolites alterations between stressed and non-stressed mice (n = 5/group). |
