A metabonomic investigation on the biochemical perturbation in post-stroke patients with depressive disorder (PSD)

Overall design

In this study, a metabonomics study based on GC/MS and multivariate statistical analysis was performed involving 28 post stroke depressed patients, 27 first-episode drug-naive post-stroke non-depressed patients and 33 healthy subjects to investigate the biochemical perturbation in their plasma samples. The training set included 3 groups: post stroke depressed group (n = 16), post stroke non-depressed group (n = 14), and control group (n = 21).
