Overall design | In this study, chronic heart failure was induced by myocardial infarction. C57BL/6J mice were divided into the following 2 groups: (1) control group (sham myocardial infarction), and (2) myocardial infarction group. The myocardial infarction group showed depression-like behaviors. A proteomic approach was employed on the frontal cortex tissues to identify proteins and pathways that might be responsible for the behavioural allostasis. Proteins with fold changes greater than +/- 2 and with p-values < 0.01 were considered differentially expressed. |
