Title | Changes in gut viral and bacterial species correlate with altered 1,2-diacylglyceride levels and structure in the prefrontal cortex in a depression-like non-human primate model |
Overall design | The aim of this study was to characterize how gut virus and bacterial species, and associated metabolites change in depression-like monkey model. Cynomolgus monkeys were divided into the following 2 groups (n = 6 per group): (1) control group (cynomolgus macaques without depressive-like behavior), and (2) depression group (cynomolgus macaques with depressive-like behavior). Plasma, prefrontal cortex, amygdala, and hippocampus tissues were used for lipidomic analyses. |
