Title | [Magnetic resonance spectroscopy in hippocampus for diagnosis of first-episode depression disorder] |
Overall design | The aim of this study was to measure hippocampal metabolite changes of first episode major depressive disorder (MDD) patients. Hippocampal changes in creatine and phosphocreatine (tCr), N-acetyl-aspartate, choline-containing compounds, and myo-inositol were measured in 44 patients with first-episode MDD (MDD group) and 20 normal subjects (control group). Metabolite quantification was reported relative to tCr as the reference peak. |
