Title | The impact of Dl-3-n-butylphthalide on the lipidomics of the hippocampus in a rat model of lipopolysaccharide-induced depression |
Overall design | In this study, an untargeted lipidomics approach of ultra-performance liquid chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS) was performed to reveal the potential discriminating lipid profile of the hippocampus for Dl-3-n-butylphthalide (NBP) involvement in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced depression. Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into the following 3 groups (n = 6 in each group): (1) control group, (2) LPS group (500 ug/kg of LPS injection every other day for 14 days), and (3) LPS + NBP group (LPS injection plus Dl-3-n-butylphthalide treatment through oral gavage, 30 mg/kg/day for 14 days). |
