Title

Metabolomic signatures and microbial community profiling of depressive rat model induced by adrenocorticotrophic hormone

Overall design

In this study, an integrative gas chromatography-time-of-fight mass spectrometer (GC-TOFMS)-based urinary metabolomics was performed on chronic adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH)-treated rat model with depression phenotype to reveal the differentiated urinary metabolites. Wistar rats were divided into the following 2 groups (n = 10 in each group): (1) control group, and (2) ACTH group (s.c. injection of adrenocorticotropic hormone fragment 1-24, 100 ug/rat, 14 days). Six samples per group were used for metabonomic analysis.
