Title | Effects of rTMS on hippocampal endocannabinoids and depressive like behaviors in adolescent rats |
Overall design | In this study, rats were divided into the following 4 groups (n = 10 in each group): (1) control group, (2) CMS group, (3) rTMS group, (4) CMS + rTMS group. The CMS stress procedure lasted for 3 weeks, then rTMS was performed for seven consecutive days, and the anti-depressive effects were evaluated by behavioral tests including the sucrose preference test, the forced swimming test, and the novelty suppressed feeding test. Expression of hippocampal cannabinoid type I receptor (CB1R), 2-arachidonoylglycerol (2-AG) and relative synthetase and degradative enzymes-diacylglycerol lipase (DAGL) and monoacylglycerol lipase (MAGL) were also investigated. |
