Title

Targeted metabolomic pathway analysis and validation revealed glutamatergic disorder in the prefrontal cortex among the chronic social defeat stress mice model of depression

Overall design

Therefore, we conducted a liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) detection of 25 major metabolites of tryptophanic, GABAergic, and catecholaminergic pathways in the prefrontal cortex (PFC) of mice in chronic social defeat stress (CSDS). Mice were divided into 2 groups: (1) control group (n = 15) (2) CSDS group (chronic social defeat stress group, n = 30). The CSDS group were divided into depressed group and resilient group according to the social interaction test. Ten samples per group were used for metabonomic analysis. The CSDS stress procedure lasted for 10 days. Data from depressed group and control group were used.
